Schedule a callHelping you go from “Wait… honey, what about a destination wedding?” to “we’re actually doing this!” is what I do best.
I’m a Certified Destination Wedding & Groups Specialist — but my real expertise comes from the connections I’ve built over years of touring and staying at resorts and working directly with their teams — the kind of relationships that get things done when it matters most.
Your destination wedding isn’t just a list of tasks to get through — it’s a meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experience, and you deserve to enjoy every step of it.
That’s exactly what I’m here for.
Do you really need a travel agent to plan your destination wedding?
Technically, no.
You can research resorts, request wedding dates, figure out room blocks, answer guest questions, and track deadlines yourself.
But if spending your engagement buried in resort tabs, contract details, payment reminders, and texts from Aunt Lisa asking for the third time how she’s getting from the airport to the resort sounds like the opposite of fun — that’s where I come in.
So no, you do not need a travel agent.
But having the right one in your corner can make the whole experience feel clearer, calmer, and a lot more enjoyable.
You’ll feel like you have someone in your corner
People usually describe me as fun, easy to talk to, and more than a little goofy — and honestly, they’re right. But when it comes to your destination wedding, I know how to get things done.
My goal is for you and your guests to feel cared for from the first time you reach out to the final post-travel detail — so you can spend less time sorting logistics and more time getting excited to celebrate somewhere beautiful.
This trip has been amazing and everyone thought you were so helpful. I am so unbelievably relieved I had you do all the coordinating. Everyone talked about how smooth and well-organized everything was — it was literally “just show up.”
Your destination wedding journey
Built around your vision, your guests, and the experience you want to create.

Talking it through
We get the vision out of your head and into a plan — guest count, budget, and priorities.
Setting the date
We weigh travel seasons, availability, and pricing so you can choose with confidence.
Building your room block
Where guests stay, how they book, and the group perks you may earn.
Your wedding website
One clear place for resort details, pricing, deadlines, and guest FAQs.

Bookings roll in
Guests reserve and pay deposits — I track it all, so you’re not chasing the cousin who books “next week.”
Dates & details
Deadlines and room release dates kept organized, with reminders before they sneak up.
Details take shape
As you work with the resort coordinator, I help you make sense of the emails.
Someone in your corner
When something feels unclear, I help you figure out what actually matters.

Pre-travel prep
Around 60 days out, guests get helpful emails — packing, transfers, passports, and tips.
Travel support
My support doesn’t stop at the airport. If issues come up, I’m here to guide and advocate.
Post-wedding check-in
Once everyone’s home, I close out group details and — yes — want to see all the photos.
Your perks & credits
Any earned perks, credits, or complimentary nights are finalized after travel.
No last-minute scrambling over here.
Destination weddings need a head start. Resorts limit how many weddings they host each day, room blocks can fill quickly, and pricing or perks may shift depending on when you book.
I’ll help keep an eye on the important dates and guide you through the timing, so you have stronger options, your guests have time to plan, and everything feels a whole lot less rushed.
Support that goes beyond booking
From resort recommendations and room blocks to guest travel questions, pre-travel prep, and post-wedding follow-up, here’s what’s included when we plan your destination wedding together.
Personalized recommendations based on your vision, guest needs, budget, and the experience you want.
I set up your room block, secure your wedding date, and keep important deadlines from sneaking up on you.
A custom booking page and guest support so everyone knows how to book, pay, and ask travel questions.
Reminders, travel documents, and key details so you and your guests feel ready before departure.
Support and advocacy if (when) travel hiccups come up while you and your guests are away.
Follow-up on final details, including any earned perks or credits handled after you return home.

Frequently asked questions
Do we really need a travel agent?
A destination wedding agent handles resort selection, room blocks, guest travel, booking deadlines, and the many logistics of a wedding away from home — so you have someone guiding the travel side from start to finish instead of juggling it alone.
How far in advance should we plan?
Ideally 12–18 months out for the best resorts, dates, room availability, and group perks — and plenty of time for guests to budget. Shorter timelines can work with flexibility.
Can guests pay over time?
In most cases, yes. Room blocks usually let guests secure a room with a deposit and pay the balance over time. Deadlines and schedules vary by resort and supplier.
Do my guests have to book through you?
No — though I encourage the room block so guests receive any available group benefits. I can only provide support and advocacy for reservations booked through Katie’s Travel Agency.
Do you only plan in Mexico & the Caribbean?
Those are my focus — they offer the best mix of resorts, guest-friendly travel, and all-inclusive wedding experiences. I may be able to help with other destinations depending on your location, guest count, and needs.
What if something goes wrong while traveling?
You won’t navigate it alone. I advocate on your behalf and assist with travel issues for reservations booked through Katie’s Travel Agency.
